Elizabeth's Birthday Weekend

While today is officially Elizabeth's Birthday her party was last weekend.  Of course Josie and I went up to Ocala and stayed the weekend.  When we got their Friday night the bounce house had already arrived!!  So Josie and Elizabeth got to play in it Saturday before any friends arrived.  The party was lots of fun and Elizabeth's friend John Patrick spent the night with his mom Jordan.

On Sunday Aunt Nicole, Elizabeth, Gabriella, Josie and I went to Silver Springs (the animal side).  We ate lunch and Elizabeth went on some of the kiddy rides.  All four of us went on the safari jeep ride.  It was fun, Josie got a a little scared for a couple minutes, but warmed right up to it once she got to see all the animals.  We also walked around the reptile exhibit;  Josie and Elizabeth both picked out snake souvenirs from the store to bring home.

Milestone Update

The morning after our last post I went to get Josie out of her crib and when I walked in she was standing up leaning on her crib and started clapping and yelling in excitement!!  She went to the doctor last week and weighs 17.5lbs and is 28.5in long.  Josie is now 8.5 months old and has grown two inches in two months.  Josie was getting some small blisters on her toes from crawling around so she recently got her first pair of sneakers.  The next day when dad picked her up from school she was standing up at the toy cubes pulling all the toys of the shelf! lol Josie is also working hard at mastering the walker; she is doing a pretty good job so far.  This weekend we noticed another tooth has broken through.  This one is on the top left and we can see others up there under the gum.  Josie has had a clogged tear duct since she was born.  We went to the eye doctor today to get it checked out.  Of course starting Saturday her eye totally cleared up (can you believe it almost nine months and two days before the doctor apt.  it was fine).  Never the less we went to the doctor and said to come back it if clogs up again....

Rat Bike!

Josie finally cut another tooth!  It’s on the bottom to the right of her other one.  Now she has two teeth.  She also has another freckle on her right ankle. She still weights just over 16lbs. In addition to some of her regular foods she now eats barley, lentals, watermelon, carrots, diced peaches and mushed brussle sprouts and red beans. Over the last several weeks we’ve kept busy doing little things here and there.

Grace, Lily & Josie

Last weekend Dad and Grampy entered their motorcycles in a contest at a motorcycle show in Daina.  Dad's bike isn't running right now; but they pushed it off the trailer and rolled it on up in there....and it won Best Rat Bike!!

Surprise, surprise Josie found a nearby park that had swings!

After the bike show a bunch of the cousins met up at Aunt Katie's and Billy's house for pizza.  Their house filled up pretty quickly.

Josie has started pulling down her bumper in her crib to see if anyone is coming to get her after she attempts to call us.  Daddy is teaching Josie many things with the time they spend together in the afternoons.  So far she says dada, mama (she does not associate that as our names yet), waves by sometimes when we ask her to, claps all the time and shouts when you tap her mouth with your hand (she also is learning how to it herself).
