Party Time

As usually we've been partying it up lately. We went to the triplets 3rd birthday and Layla's 1st birthday. Minnie Mouse visited Layla's party. Hayes was pretty course to check her out and Josie would not even go near her lol.  We've also been doing a lot of dancing too!

Big Truck Show

The kids had a blast at the Big Truck Show. They sat inside a bunch of different diggers and also played in a huge pile of sand. 

This Won't Be The Last Reptile Bite

It all started as a usually Monday morning. Dad's off at work and mom is trying to get the kids out the door and off to school. All before seven o' clock. Trying to keep to the tight time schedule mom is frantically looking for Hayes shoes; when a phone call to dad reveals they're in his truck at work with him!!  Doing her best to remain calm, and not be late for work mom finds a pair of gently used shoes from Hayes cousin. The shoes seem to fit; he is walking in them... mom drops the kids off and barley makes it to work on time. 

Now it's  just before lunch when mom gets the call, "it's your son's school".  The director says, Hayes was on the playground when he got bit by a lizard, I mean an iguana. Apparently, all the kids were checking out the iguana on the playground and the teacher was trying to shoe the kids away, when of course...Hayes tries to sneak around the teacher to get a closer look. He trips and falls down, the iguana lunges and bites his fingers breaking the skin and leaving a bruise on his middle finger. Mom called the doctor who suggested antibiotics, just to be safe since iguanas carry salmonella. So out the door mom runs to pick-up Hayes and get his antibiotics. Obviously the school is pretty freaked out, but I think it's probably best that it happened to one of our kids and not the typically parent's kids.

 Now it's two-thirty and mom just finished lunch (and a quick blog update) it sounds like Hayes is not going to nap; guess he thinks the ten minute nap in the car will have to do today. The lesson we learned from this.....don't wear someone else's shoes and make sure your kids know the difference between a lizard and an iguana. In closing will mom ever be able to work a 40 hour work week again.......
