Mom's Birthday Celebration

Yup, we celebrate it all...maybe on a different day, but we still have a party.  Hayes and I picked out a brownie with chocolate chip cookie on top recipe at the store. Josie, Hayes and I baked it together. It's definitely a winner, Dad even liked it!!  We used candles from the kids previous birthday's, along with a couple others, until we go to 36.  We also went on a bike ride to the bridge; it was the best birthday ever.

Saturday Evening Fishing In The Back Yard

I think Hayes and Josie cast a fishing pole better than me!  We had a blast caching fish and going in a night bike ride to the bridge.

Snorkeling At Penny Camp- Fathers Day Weekend

We recently did our annual trip to Kate and Emas house and of course Maddy stayed the weekend too.  It was lots of fun. The Mom's took the kids to the sand bar and the Daddy's went fishing and brought home a bunch of fish; so we had homemade sushi and fried fish for dinner. The next day we all took John's boat and went snorkeling. It was Josie's first time snorkeling in the ocean. She did awesome.

I pulled her, and she swam, around the reef. We saw coral, conch shell, sea fans, parrot fish, sargent majors, snapper and lots of other fish. She only jumped on top of me a couple of times. Josie's favorite animal was the Black  prickly Sea Erchant.

Hayes chose not to snorkel, but instead insisted I push him around the reef in a small tube float. He had lots of fun and got to see some fish come up to the boat. I stayed in the water the entire time and still got seasick.

Crashing The Royal's Vacation!

Their trip always starts off as a man-cation and then turns into a family trip. Hayes helped me clean up the frog dad ran over when he left.... All of us had so much fun! We spent lots of time at the pool doing front flips and Hayes doing an awesome cannon ball.  Josie took a bunch of really great pictures of everyone on the boat. It's always pretty interesting sharing a hotel room with 8 people; two beds and one bathroom. What good memories!
