Staying Busy

We've managed to keep pretty busy since since our summer vacation to the Keys.  Josie went to her second Rodeo.  This time it was the Wednesday night Jackpot.  Josie had a blast.  A bunch of Josie's friends and their moms and dads were there too. Josie was talking away, or so she thought she was, from the moment we got there and she saw the horses.  Some of here friends even did the goat ribbon pulling. Josie ate snacks and stood right at the rail.  By the end she figured out if she squatted down  she could get in the ring....so I had to squat next to her the last little bit.  Since it was during the week Josie got pretty tired just after 8PM, so she laid down in the middle of the floor and started giggling.  Needless to say we left before everyone else.  We can't wait to go back.

I've been looking for different activities to do on the weekends, so Josie and I tried out a mom and tot gymnastics class.  Josie loved it and she was not shy at all.  Her favorite was the trampline, but she also loved sliding down the slides into the foam pit, climbing on the rock wall and racing on the mats.  She had no fear and did everything multiple times.

One of the neighborhood kids, Katie, babysat Josie Saturday night so we could hang out at the Native Village to watch "Uncle Larry" play.  She fed her, gave her a bath and put her to bed.  Josie was very well behaved and we had a fun night too.

On Sunday we went out on the boats with a bunch of friends.  We put in at Sailboat bend in Ft. Lauderdale and cruised the Intracoastal to the local sandbar.  It was high tide but all the kids still had fun.  Then we continued on to Bahia Cabana on Ft. Lauderdale beach.  Josie ran around and played the while mom got enjoy a pina colada poolside.  There were also some statues Josie thought were pretty interesting.  She also loved helping Noah drive the boat.  This was actually the first time Josie went all day with out a nap, until the boat ride back about 4:30PM, and she was great the entire time.  Josie was beat when we got home.  Once we were able to wake her up she ate dinner, had a bath and went straight to bed.

Josie will be 15 months next week so we went to the doctors for 2 more shots.  Josie weighs 22.6lbs and is 31.25 inches tall.  Her weight has leveled off  but her height is right on target. She has seven teeth, but we are hoping her molars will be break any day.  Keep your fingers crossed.  Even though she has minimal teeth, she takes after her mom with her love of chicken wings.  Maybe she'll even like them spicy one day.  Josie was eating salmon for dinner and saw us eating chicken wings.  Needless to say she put down two wings...yes this gal can eat. If you know Josie you know she has great facial expressions....

Josie also fell down at school again and scratched her chin, the first week back after vacation.

Practicing wearing her helmet so she can ride in my bike cart this weekend.

Josie was sent home from school the other day.  Her teachers said she had a fever and might be sick or it could be from her shots.  The doc said she is just teething, but mom picked her up any way.  The next day mom stayed home with her.  Josie got the best medicine ever Nana and Poppy came by with Publix subs for lunch.

Dosen't this look like a sick child....lol
