Summer Fun

Now that Josie is three I finally got around to taking her to the movies. Last Saturday we went to see A Snail Named Turbo with Josie's friend Kaylin  and her mom. We got popcorn and a big pretzel and walked to our theater. I opened the door; it was dark and loud commercials were playing.  I turned to give Josie some encouragement to go inside....she was gone. Josie bolted the other way in fear. So we found a bench and took few minutes to regroup. After much convincing I carried her inside.  Although it was sill against her will. We sat down, there was much wining. The movie finally started and Josie was asleep. About halfway thru the movie she woke up and imeadeitly ask to leave. So we did. Not sure if or when we'll ever be back lol. 

Earlier his month we went to Ema's Third Birthday Party. The Emma, Madison and Josie had a blast playing and swimming in the canal. Hayes and Katie also had lots of fun. 

We've been doing the Summer Series Rodeo and the kids have been having so much fun. Hayes loves going up and down the bleachers,  playing in the dirt and watching the tractor drag the arena. Hayes did ribbon pulling for the first time last week. He's kinda of young so he wasn't to into it and it was pretty late too. Josie's been doing good. 

We also recently got some hermit crabs from Gracie and Luke. Josie and Hayes picked out the bedding for the tank. They both live checking on the crabs and snuggling underneath the tank. 

July 4th

We had a pretty quiet 4th just hanging around the house. Josie  loved pop rocks and smoke bombs while Hayes enjoyed doing sparklers with mom. Hayes doesn't talk a ton, but he says dog, ma, growls and makes truck sounds ( vrum, vrum) when playing with toy cars and trucks. Hayes also insists on sitting in the booster seat at table instead of the high chair. Hayes also sat in the big swing for the first time....he loved it!!

Josie and Hayes have been doing swimming lessons the last couple weeks. Hayes can float on his back, hang on a noodle, hold his breath, grab the wall and almost rolls over. Josie does laps in the pool switching from her front to her back and loves jumping in especially off the top of the hot tub.
